The design of the die casting must consider seven aspects: the wall thickness of the die casting, the casting fillet demoulding angle of the die casting, the stiffener, the small distance between the hole the edge, the rectangular hole groove on the die casting, the insert in the die casting the machining allowance of the die casting.
Code for design of casting fillet: generally, there should be fillet at the intersection of all parts of the die casting (except for the parting surface), which can make the metal flow smoothly when filling, the gas can be easily discharged, avoid the crack caused by the sharp angle. For the die-casting parts that need to be electroplated painted, the fillet can be evenly coated to prevent coating accumulation at the sharp corners. Generally, the fillet radius r of die casting should be less than 1mm, the small fillet radius is 0.5mm.
Design code for inserts in die casting: firstly, the number of inserts on the die casting should be too much; secondly, the connection between the inserts the die casting must be firm, at the same time, slotting, bulging, knurling, etc. are required on the inserts; Thirdly, the insert must avoid sharp corners to facilitate placement prevent stress concentration of the casting. If there is serious electrochemical corrosion between the casting the insert, the surface of the insert needs coating protection; the casting with the insert should avoid heat treatment to avoid volume change caused by the phase transformation of two metals make the insert loose.
The casting part is formed the cavity is filled
Causes: 1. The temperature of the die casting die is too low; 2. The temperature of the liquid metal is low; 3. The pressure of the press is too small; 4. The liquid metal is insufficient the injection speed is too high; 5. The air cannot be discharged.
Adjustment methods: 1. 2. Increase the temperature of die casting die liquid metal; 3. Replace the high pressure die casting machine. 4. Add enough liquid metal to reduce the injection speed increase the thickness of the feed port.
